GLASS FUSING/GLASS ART WORKSHOP Workshop costs £85 for the day - the price includes all materials and a light lunch - light refreshments during the day. One Day Glass Fusing Workshop at Acorn Cottage, Billericay, Essex (near Basildon and Chelmsford ), where you will learn to cut glass and make a selection of items. At our Fused Glass Class you can make upto 3 jewellery items ( pendant, earrings, bangle/ring/cufflinks) plus upto 3 items of glass art which can be either a dish, light catcher, 2 coasters, or piece of wall art). Please discuss with me your requirements. You need no experience You will also learn about different types of fusing and glass thicknesses and qualities and how they affect the finished article. Glass, dichroic glass, frits and stringers etc are all included in the price. The workshop runs from 10am to 4.30pm on the last Saturday of most months (subject to change). The workshops are held at Acorn Cottage in Billericay. A light lunch is provided and taken in the delightful garden during the summer. Only 4 students are usually taken at a time ensuring that individual attention is given and there is a friendly atmosphere. However, I can accomodate upto 6 students. Many people make up a group of friends for a "girly day out". The pieces will be fired and you can either return one week later for one hour to fit the jewellery findings or I will fit them and they can be collected one week later or posted. Just bring enthusiasm - ideas if you have them - if not there are plenty of books and samples for you to look at.
